The Benny Lynch Story

THE BENNY LYNCH STORY is a national production touring in May and June 2019, which tells the story of Scotland’s first ever boxing world champion. It is a poignant and entertaining look at his life, from his childhood in the Gorbals’ slums, to his boxing success and global stardom, and ultimately to his demise and untimely death in 1946 at the age of only 33.
It doesn’t matter if you’re not a boxing fan. This show is about the extraordinary life of a Scottish icon. It is the ultimate rags to riches to rags story.

Season 2 Ep. 7 Madness

Warning: we spoil Game of Thrones! Yes on this months episode the team rise out of the dungeon and like the families of old hack away at the fans, the reactions and the end. Taking up arms Stewart and Aaron defend the realm against the dragons on twitter, a poisonous petition and wonder is there a better world, a darker world, a world with Mystics and Skeksis! Helping to save them on their quest David Gering-Hasthorpe rides in to talk about comedy improv and life after Godot. Season 2 Ep.6 Hype

Easter has arrived and as the temperature heats up Stewart and Aaron wonder where they left Kris. It’s a strange cocktail of Hobos, Nuns and Disco Divas. The guys digress between topics, trying to figure out why they get so caught up, enticed and predominately bamboozled by the hype of today.

Waiting For Godot

Half- Wits Theatre company produce a rare staging of Samuel Beckett’s surrealist and iconic comic masterpiece, Waiting For Godot.

The production brings together charm, absurdity, high comedy, surrealism and touching humanity.

It is a great addition to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and a great way to spend a spring evening.

Season 2 Ep. 5 Comedy

The podcast is on fire but it could be kris’s face, straight from filming and bright red, he joins his usual co-host Stewart and Aaron for another episode of heated debate. Itching to scratch the surface of The Glasgow International Comedy Festival the team invite Karen Barclay on to talk about Short Attention Span Theatre. With a string of bad jokes and no comedy timing the guys peel back on what tickles your funny bone, makes you laugh, cry and split at the sides.


Season 2 Ep. 4 Controversy

On the buzzword this month the team crash in to 2019 with a podcast full of controversy. Exorcizing everything from 2018 that brought them to tears, filled them with joy or sent them to sleep, it’s an episode that will anger some, enrage others and leave the rest stupefied on the opinions asserted.
